Rep. Waxman Releases Impact Analysis of NPR Defunding Bill
Ranking Member Waxman sent a letter to his colleagues in the House concerning H.R. 1076, legislation to prohibit federal funding of National Public Radio and the use of Federal funds to acquire radio content. The legislation did not go through the normal Committee process and there have been no hearings, testimony, or expert review. Because members have little information about its impact, the Democratic staff of the Energy and Commerce Committee prepared a district by district analysis of how the legislation will affect public radio stations throughout the country.
