Washington, Oct 25, 2005 - Rep. Waxman joined his colleagues in expressing his disappointment in changes to the National Cancer Institute's Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPOREs) dedicated to translational research programs. These translational research programs are responsible for many important developments in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
