Rep. Waxman Expresses Opposition to a Budget which Includes Revenue from the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

Rep. Waxman and colleagues express opposition to any language in the fiscal year 2004 budget resolution that assumes revenue from drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). The coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge is protected against additional oil and gas exploration or development but the Bush Administration continues to send Congress a budget that assumes revenue from drilling in ANWR.
